Social Services
March is National Social Work Month — a time to recognize the compassionate and vital work social workers do every day. At Erwin Health Care Center, we are proud to shine a light on Wendy Winters, BSW, MSW — a dedicated and invaluable member of our team whose passion and expertise make a difference in the lives of our residents and their families.
Wendy Winters currently serves as the Director of Social Services at Erwin Health Care Center, bringing care, empathy, and deep knowledge to every interaction. With both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work and over 10 years of experience in long-term care, Wendy brings a unique perspective and skill set to our community.
One of Wendy’s greatest passions is helping those in need of memory care. Supporting residents facing the challenges of dementia and other memory-related conditions requires patience, expertise, and a collaborative approach — and Wendy embodies all of these qualities.
Beyond her professional dedication, Wendy’s life is filled with love and joy at home. She enjoys spending time with her family and stays busy managing two energetic toddlers — a balancing act that reflects her nurturing spirit and unwavering commitment to those she cares for, both at work and at home.
As we celebrate Social Work Month, we extend our deepest gratitude to Wendy Winters and all social workers who make a positive impact through their selflessness and dedication. Their work is at the heart of providing hope, dignity, and care for those who need it most.
Thank you, Wendy, for your compassion, professionalism, and the extraordinary care you provide every day. Erwin Health Care Center is truly fortunate to have you on our team!
